If you buy guava, choose according to your needs. If you will be eaten, of course, buy guava and ripe soft fruit. However, if you buy in relatively large quantities and will be saved, then buy guava old but still hard and green. If you will be consumed or further processed, guava needs to removed from the refrigerator and placed in room temperature for 1-5 days until the texture obtained with soft pink and cooked through. If you do not want a mature guava, it can be taken directly from the refrigerator without the need to be placed in a room temperature first.
If you’ve reached the ripe, guava will last only one day until the husband. One way to take advantage of the guava is ripe; or too mature, is to crush into pulp or puree (can use a blender), then store in freezer. The pulp guavas can be used as an ingredient for beverages and mixed with yogurt or other beverages.
